Our New Blog!

Hi, everyone!
If you don't know me, I'm Amy.  More about that later, but here is a photo of me with a ginger bread house:

I have a long and complicated history with blogging.  (Ok, it's not that complicated.)  I have tried blogging a few different times for a few different reasons, but it has always been short-lived.  This is very similar to the way I took dance lessons.  I quit when I was 5, because I hated wearing leotards.  I quit when I was 12, because I accidentally got stuck in a class full of younger kids.  I finally stuck with it in high school, but then had to quit again in college to focus on my three majors.  Yes, you read that right.  Overachiever.

Anyway.  Last night my husband, Jesse, and I were talking about scheduling a time to write in our journals together, since we had both been wanting to journal more.  He recently spent a year writing in a journal every single day.  This was his gift to me on our first anniversary: a journal documenting our first year of marriage.  All together now: Awwwww!  But then after this little project, he stopped journaling all together.  I had a similar experience: I stopped journaling after a few months of consistent journaling brought on by the new year and those new year resolutions.

Then Jesse suggested that we start a couple's blog.  I had been thinking of starting another blog, thanks to my friend Tory, so I immediately jumped on the idea, and here we are!  And here is a photo of Jesse destroying my ginger bread house:

We'll see how long this whole blogging thing lasts, but until then: Woohoo!  We have a couple's blog!  How cute!

Until later,
Amy
